Project 1: Softening Political Boundaries

For my undergraduate capstone in Landscape Architecture, I focused on the concept of territory as an edge and its impact on the various living entities around the Four Corners Monument. The project involved extensive research on the Navajo Nation, native plant species, and intuitive design strategies to create a thoughtful, site-responsive proposal.

Project 2: Flatirons Elementary

Flatirons Elementary School is a small K-5 school with around 30 kids per grade. Located in Boulder, Colorado, with beautiful views of the Flatirons, it gains its respectful name. I had the opportunity to work closely with the principal, parents, and children who attend this school to create a more environmentally friendly outdoor play area for everyone.

Project 3: Mai Te Timatanga

I had the privilege of studying a semester in Wellington, New Zealand in 2024, where I worked closely with the Māori people. They taught me about the importance of land/people conenction where we are one with the land and that there is no seperation.

INTERN WORK

IMA DESIGN GALLERY

During my internship at IMA Gallery in Boulder, Colorado, I worked one-on-one with Katie, honing my skills in interior design, marketing, and social media management for a high-end consignment shop. I ran the Etsy store, curated and edited inventory photos, and developed strategies to enhance the gallery’s online presence. One of my biggest takeaways was learning how patterns—whether in size, color, shape, or style—allow objects to “speak” to each other in harmony. This experience also helped me grow more confident in balancing work and play, a concept I continue to explore in both my creative and professional life.
